Substitutions and Variations

We have a couple other delicious Breakfast Flautas recipes also. Try our Pepperoni Pizza Breakfast Flautas or our Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Breakfast Flautas.

All three breakfast flautas are great for brunch table spreads and grab & go breakfast options. Wrap them individually and your teens can microwave them and you know they got a healthy morning start.

Top Tips

  • Wrap these breakfast roll ups in wax paper instead of plastic wrap, and store in a zip lock bag. This will keep them fresh, and easy to unroll after microwaving. Plastic wrap sticks together so well that it is a wrestling match getting the heated roll up out after microwaving.
  • Be sure to get the thin sliced deli meats and cheeses, otherwise these can get too thick to roll up easily.

Frequently asked questions

Can I freeze these also?

Yes, these Monte Cristo roll ups are perfect for freezing ahead. Just put them on a tray and reheat them in your oven or microwave.
