Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Air fryer bacon wrapped asparagus is the perfect quick appetizer you can pull together when unexpected guests arrive. Bacon gets cooked to perfection in an air fryer, with the asparagus remaining crisp-tender with a smoky flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Instructions

  • Rinse off the asparagus and trim the woody ends off each asparagus spear. Cut to fit the air fryer basket. Pat the asparagus dry with paper towels.
  • Place the asparagus spears in a medium sized bowl and drizzle with some olive oil. Sprinkle some salt, garlic powder, and cracked pepper on them. Toss the asparagus spears so that they are all coated with olive oil and seasoning.

  • Divide the spears into groups of three spears. There should be enough for 6 to 8 bundles. Take a strip of bacon and wrap it around each bundle. Repeat for each bundle. Sprinkle some fresh ground pepper on them.

  • lace the asparagus bundles in your air fryer. You can lay them directly in the basket, or for easier clean up, use a small pan that fits the air fryer basket. Don't crowd the bundles in the air fryer basket. You will need to cook in two batches.
  • Air Fry at 350 F for 10 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked to how crisp you like it. Depending on your air fryer and bacon thickness, the time could be more or less, so check on the first batch after 8 minutes. You can also turn the bundles to even out the browning.

Notes

  • Don't just snap the asparagus where the hard wood gets tender. Cut them to fit the air fryer basket.
