Summer Berry Salad

This summer berry salad is the perfect dish to enjoy any time of the year, but especially during the hotter months when fresh berries are so abundant. This mixed berry salad is light, refreshing, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries, chopped
  • 6 oz raspberries
  • 6 oz blueberries
  • 6 oz blackberries
  • 3 medium apples, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 1 Orange, squeezed

Instructions

  • In a small bowl mix together the honey, orange juice, orange zest, and lemon zest.

  • In a large bowl, place the rinsed and chopped fruit.
    1 pint strawberries, chopped, 6 oz raspberries, 6 oz blueberries, 6 oz blackberries, 3 medium apples, chopped
  • Pour the honey orange dressing over the fruit and gently toss to combine and coat the fruit. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • You can add another tablespoon or two of honey if you prefer the dressing to be sweeter.
  • You can substitute lemon juice and add poppy seeds for a nice Lemon Poppyseed Honey dressing.
  • Be creative with your fruit, you can add grapes, melon, bananas, and more!
