Ingredients

  • 1 bag Rhodes frozen dinner rolls 24 in package
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

For the Rhodes Monkey Bread

  • Defrost the frozen roll dough. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a large, 12 cup bundt pan and set aside.
  • Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon into a bowl. Melt the butter and set in another bowl.
¾ cup brown sugar, ½ cup butter
  • Using kitchen scissors, cut each dough ball into fourths. Dip each dough ball into the butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar. Layer the cinnamon coated dough balls in the bundt pan until ½ full.
1 bag Rhodes frozen dinner rolls
  • Drizzle the remaining butter over the top of the dough balls in the bundt pan. Cover with plastic wrap.
  • Let rise for 30 minutes until doubled, then bake for 30 minutes at 350°.

Monkey Bread Icing

  • While the Monkey bread is baking, make the icing by combining the powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla extract.
1 cup powdered sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoon cream
  • Remove monkey bread from oven and let cook for 5 minutes. Using a cake plate, invert the bundt pan and let the monkey bread tip out onto the cake plate. Drizzle top with the icing. Serve warm or cold.

Notes

  • When baking Rhodes Monkey Bread, cinnamon buns like our Tik Tok Cinnamon Rolls, or this Pumpkin Butter, Ceylon cinnamon is the sweeter, more flavorful choice. It is sweeter and doesn't have a bitter note. Ceylon Cinnamon is always better for baking than the typical Cassia sold as cinnamon.
  • Don't fill the bundt pan more than ½ full, as your Rhodes rolls dough will expand during the rising, and even more during baking.
