Halve the avocados and remove the seed. Cut into quarters and peel the skin back from each quarter. Place peeled avocados in a mixing bowl.

Squeeze the lime and add the juice to the bowl with the avocados. Mash to the level of chunkiness you like.

Chop the onion coarse or fine, as you choose. Add to the bowl of avocado. If using tomato and cilantro, chop them to the level of chunkiness you prefer also. Add them to the bowl.
½ onion, 2 small ripe tomato, diced (optional), 2 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)
Mix well and season to taste with salt if needed. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or other Mexican food.
