Blackstone Philly Cheesesteaks are the perfect meal for a busy day, or for any time you're craving a delicious and satisfying sandwich. The savory aroma of shaved steak, melted cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers will have your mouth watering.
Preheat your Blackstone or gas griddle to medium heat (about 400℉). Once the griddle is hot, drizzle a little vegetable oil on the surface and add the onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers and saute for 3-5 minutes.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 large onion, 8 oz mushrooms, 1 bell pepper
Repeat with a drizzle of oil on the other side of the griddle and lay the shaved beef down. Use a metal spatula to break it up and move it around while it sears and cooks, about 5 minutes.
16 oz shaved steaks, seasoning salt, garlic powder
Sprinkle both the shaved beef and the vegetables with some seasoning salt and garlic powder, to taste.
White the shaved steak is cooking, lay the hoagie buns on the griddle so they can toast.
Top the meat with the slices of cheese and place a melting dome over it on the griddle. Turn the griddle off.
8 slices Provolone cheese
Spread mayonnaise on each hoagie and load with some of the cooked vegetables, then with some of the cheese covered shaved beef. Serve immediately while hot!
4 tablespoon mayonnaise, 4 hoagie buns
Skillet Method
Preheat your oven to 350℉.
Using a large skillet, heat the oil and saute the onions on medium low. When fragrant and softened, add the sliced mushrooms. Cook for 3 - 4 minutes and season well with seasoning salt.
Add the shaved beef steak and cook over medium heat while mixing to break up. Season to taste with seasoning salt. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the beef is done.
Toast the hoagie buns in the toaster, air fryer, or the oven. When lightly toasted, spread mayonnaise on both sides of your hoagie buns.
Add the shaved steak and vegetable mixture on each hoagie and top with two slices of cheese for each sandwich.
Place in the oven at 350℉ for 5 - 8 minutes. Serve hot!

Notes
Use a good quality steak, like ribeye. The better the quality of the steak, the better the taste of the cheesesteak.
Don't overcook the steak. The steak should be cooked to medium-rare.
Use a lot of cheese. The more cheese, the better!
Toast the hoagie rolls. Toasting the hoagie rolls adds a nice crunch to the sandwich.
