Homemade Blackberry Preserves

This easy blackberry preserves recipe yields a delicious and versatile spread that's perfect for toast, biscuits, and more.

Use fresh picked, store bought, or frozen blackberries.

Mix the pectin powder into the sugar. Squeeze the lemon ans set aside.

Add the blackberries to a large, heavy pot and add the sugar and pectin mixture.

Heat on  medium low.

Stir the sugar mixture into the berries until melted.

Bring to a rolling boil and cook until blackberry preserves reach the gel stage.

Pour hot blackberry preserves into clean canning jars.
