Chicken Taco Seasoning

- 4 tablespoon Chili powder any generic chili powder
- 8 teaspoon Cumin ground
- 8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 8 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 4 teaspoon Oregano dried
- 2 teaspoon Poultry seasoning or Rubbed Sage
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper fine ground
- 1 tablespoon Salt Optional
Measure out all the spices into a medium size mixing bowl.
4 tablespoon Chili powder, 8 teaspoon Cumin, 8 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 8 teaspoon Onion Powder, 4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika, 4 teaspoon Oregano, 2 teaspoon Poultry seasoning, 1 teaspoon Black Pepper, 1 tablespoon Salt
Mix all the spices until they are evenly blended together.
Use immediately for your recipes. Store leftovers in a small 4 oz Mason canning jar, or an empty spice jar.
It's best to keep spices out of direct light, in a cool dark cupboard.
- If you get the sneezes from powdery spices, wear a face mask.
- I recommend using some disposable Nitrile gloves whenever handling any kind of chili peppers or powder.
- Use fresh spices whenever possible.
- Store the seasoning in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
- If you're not using the seasoning right away, you can freeze it for up to 6 months.
- Keep a couple dry beans in the spice jar to prevent caking or clumping.
