- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 6 cup rice krispies or any crisped rice cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips semi sweet
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Line an 8 x 8 inch pan with parchment paper, or spray with non stick cooking spray. PRO TIP: Lining with parchment paper lets you lift the slab of chocolate peanut butter rice krispie treats right out of the pan, easy peasy! Heat granulated white sugar and corn syrup in a large, heavy bottomed sauce pan or dutch oven until it comes to a rolling boil.

Stir in the peanut butter, remove pot from heat and et aside.

Measure the rice krispies into a large mixing bowl.
6 cup rice krispies
Pour peanut butter mixture over the cereal and mix to combine. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan. Set aside to cool.
Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips in the microwave in a large glass bowl. Heat in 1 minute intervals, then stir, repeating in 30 second intervals until the chips are completely melted.

Pour chocolate-butterscotch mixture over the cereal mixture in the baking pan and spread out evenly.
Refrigerate pan of chocolate covered peanut butter rice krispies for 1½ to 2 hours or until chocolate hardens.
Remove from refrigerator and slice into 9 sections before serving. Enjoy!
- Use a large saucepan so that you have enough room to stir the ingredients without them overflowing.
- If you don't have parchment paper, you can grease the baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
- Let the treats cool completely before cutting into squares. This will help them hold their shape.
