Peach Dump Cake with Fresh Peaches

- 2 lbs peaches about 6
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix or white cake mix, or biscuit mix
- 1 cube butter sliced
- 2 cup water
Wash and rub the peach fuzz off each peach. Slice in half and remove the stone pit. Slice the peaches into slices of chunks and spread them out in either a 9×13 baking dish, or a 4 quart crockpot.

Sprinkle the sugar over the peaches evenly. Don’t stir.

Next, sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the sugar. Don’t stir.

Lay the slices of butter evenly over the cake mix in the baking dish or crockpot.

Gently drizzle the water evenly over the top off all the layers in the baking dish or crockpot.

OVEN: Place the 9×13 baking dish in a prepared 350 F oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown on the top.
CROCKPOT: If using the crockpot, set the mode to HIGH and cook for 2 hours.
Remove from oven (or pull the crock out of the crockpot) and let this easy peach dump cake cool for 15 minutes to set up a little before scooping out to serve.
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
- Add a splash of vanilla extract to the peaches before spreading them in the bottom of the crockpot or 9×13 baking dish.
- Sprinkle some ground cinnamon over the peaches before adding the sugar, cake mix, butter, and water.
