Ingredients

  • ½ cup Dry buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Dill dried cut dill, not the seeds
  • 2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Chives dried cut chives
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • Measure the dry buttermilk and all the spices that you're using. Make sure they are fresh and not stale.
½ cup Dry buttermilk, 1 tablespoon Parsley, 1 tablespoon Dill, 2 teaspoon Garlic powder, 2 teaspoon Onion powder, 1 teaspoon Black pepper, 1 teaspoon Chives, 1 teaspoon Salt
  • Whisk all the ingredients until they are blended. The larger herbs will naturally move to the top, so always stir the blend before scooping out for making ranch salad dressing, ranch dip, or using in recipes.
  • Transfer the dry ranch seasoning blend to an air tight spice jar, mason jar, or a bail jar with a rubber gasket. Keep in your pantry, or any cool, dry storage location.

Notes

  • Use powdered onion and garlic instead of the coarser granulated for a smoother ranch dressing or ranch dip.
  • To make a low-fat ranch seasoning mix, use fat-free mayonnaise and buttermilk.
  • Use this ranch seasoning mix to make your own ranch dressing, or use it as a seasoning for vegetables, chicken, or even popcorn.
  • You can easily double this recipe for larger quantities!
For Fresh Ranch Dressing and Dips:
Blend 3 tablespoon of the dry ranch seasoning in a bowl with ½ cup mayonnaise, ½ cup sour cream, buttermilk, or milk. You can add more milk to thin it down to the consistency you prefer.
