Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Fresh strawberries dipped in silky melted chocolate make a simple treat feel special with very little effort. Chocolate Covered Strawberries are easy to make at home, fun to decorate, and perfect for sharing on Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients
- 5 tablespoon milk chocolate callets or melting wafers
- 5 tablespoon white chocolate callets or melting wafers
- 5 tablespoon ruby chocolate callets or melting wafers
- 16-20 large strawberries
- 2 tablespoon sprinkles Valentine themed
Instructions
- Place each type of chocolate callets (or candy melting wafers) into separate small bowls. Melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each cycle, until fully smooth (about 4–6 cycles depending on microwave power).5 tablespoon milk chocolate callets, 5 tablespoon white chocolate callets, 5 tablespoon ruby chocolate callets
- Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip it into melted chocolate and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Let set for 5–10 minutes.16-20 large strawberries
- Transfer the remaining melted chocolate into small piping bags.
- Snip a very small tip off each piping bag and drizzle patterns over the strawberries using different chocolate colors.
- Decorate with sprinkles. Leave at room temperature or refrigerate until the chocolate is fully set.2 tablespoon sprinkles
Notes
- Dry the strawberries completely: Any moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking and can cause it to seize.
- Use high-quality chocolate callets: Milk, white, and ruby callets melt smoothly and taste much better than candy melting wafers.
- Melt chocolate gently: Use a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring often to avoid burning.
- Work in small batches: Dip a few strawberries at a time so the chocolate stays smooth and workable.
- Decorate before the chocolate sets: Add sprinkles or drizzle additional chocolate while it’s still soft for the best appearance and adherence.
