Chocolate Reese's Pieces Cookies are the perfect combination of soft, chewy chocolate cookies and crunchy Reese's Pieces candy. These chocolate cookies with Reese's Pieces are perfect for any occasion, from a casual snack to a Halloween treat.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the flour and cocoa powder together. Either sift the cocoa to break up lumps, or use the back of a spoon to break the lumps up.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Stir in Reese's Pieces candy, reserving a few tablespoons for later for the cookie tops.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
Decorate cookie tops with three different color Reese's Pieces peanut butter candies.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are set. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
Do not over bake the cookies, or they will be hard.
Reese's Pieces candy can be substituted with other types of candy, such as chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or M&M's.
Reserve ¼ cup of the Reese's Pieces for decorating the tops of each cookie.
