  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon Ceylon cinnamon
  • teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • ½ cup Water for crumble

Instructions

Make Oat Crumble Topping

  • Add the flour, old fashioned oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter into a small bowl.
¼ cup flour, ¼ cup oats, ½ cup Brown sugar, ½ teaspoon Cinnamon - is true cinnamon, ⅙ teaspoon Salt, 3 tablespoon Butter
  • Using a fork or pastry cutter, combine the ingredients until you have a coarse crumble texture.

Prepare Apple Blueberry Filling

  • Spray a small, round baking dish that will fit inside the Instant Pot linger with non stick cooking spray. You'll need a round casserole dish that is about 6 to 7" diameter.
  • Add the chopped or sliced apples to a medium mixing bowl and mix in the butter, lemon juice, vanilla extract, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
2 large Granny Smith Apples, 1 tablespoon Butter, 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract, 3 tablespoon Brown sugar, ½ teaspoon Cinnamon, ⅛ teaspoon Salt
  • Toss ingredients to combine so the apples are coated. Add the blueberries and gently mix them in.
    1 cup Blueberries
  • Transfer the bowl of apple blueberry crumble filling to the small round casserole dish and add the ½ cup water over the fruit.
PRO TIP: You can also use an Instant Pot sized springform pan (7" diameter) if you don't have a small round casserole dish that fits.
    ½ cup Water

Instant Pot Processing

  • Sprinkle the top with the oat crumble topping.
  • Pour the 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot itself, and place the casserole of apple blueberry crumble in a trivet that has lift out handles.
    1 cup Water
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the vent to SEAL and cook settings to Manual for 2 minutes. It will take about 10 minutes to reach pressure, then the 2 minutes will count down for the cook time.
  • Once the cook timer beeps, do a manual release of the steam, taking care to stay out of the steam path.
PRO TIP: For a crispier oat crumble topping, place the apple blueberry crumble under broiler on medium for about 3 to 4 minutes, or use the air fryer lid to brown the crumble topping if your Instant Pot has one.
