Apple & Blueberry Crumble Ingredients
This Instant Pot Apple Blueberry Crumble is so easy to make, even a beginner can do it! Just a few simple ingredients and a few minutes in the Instant Pot, and you'll have an old fashioned dessert that everyone will love.
Oat Crumble Topping
- Flour - Regular all purpose flour.
- Oats - Old fashioned oats, not quick oats.
- Brown sugar - Light or dark.
- Cinnamon - Ceylon cinnamon is true cinnamon, and better for baking that inexpensive Saigon cinnamon (which is really Cassia).
- Salt
- Butter - unsalted butter, cut into pieces.
Apple Blueberry Crumble Filling
- Granny Smith Apples - Or any other tart apples, chopped or sliced.
- Blueberries
- Butter
- Lemon juice
- Vanilla extract
- Brown sugar - Light or dark.
- Cinnamon - Again, Ceylon cinnamon is better in baked goods than Saigon cinnamon. Ceylon is true cinnamon, and it's sweeter.
- Salt
- Water
- Water for Instant Pot processing - This goes in the bottom of the Instant pot insert pot, not in the recipe itself.

How to Make Apple Blueberry Crumble In the Instant Pot
Not only is this apple & blueberry crumble packed with fruity goodness, but it’s also incredibly easy to make.
PRO TIP: To keep the top crumble crunchier, lay a piece of parchment paper over the top of the crumble so no condensation stem drips on the oat crumble topping..
Mix The Crumble Topping
- Add the flour, old fashioned oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter into a small bowl.
- Using a fork or pastry cutter, combine the ingredients until you have a coarse crumble texture.
Mix Up Apple & Blueberry Crumble Filling
- Spray a small, round baking dish that will fit inside the Instant Pot linger with non stick cooking spray. You'll need a round casserole dish that is about 6 to 7" diameter.
- Add the chopped or sliced apples to a medium mixing bowl and mix in the butter, lemon juice, vanilla extract, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Toss ingredients to combine so the apples are coated. Add the blueberries and gently mix them in.
Top with Crumble Topping
PRO TIP: You can also use an Instant Pot sized springform pan (7" diameter) if you don't have a small round casserole dish that fits.
- Transfer the bowl of apple blueberry crumble filling to the small round casserole dish and add the ½ cup water over the fruit.
- Sprinkle the top with the oat crumble topping.
- Pour the 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot itself, and place the casserole of apple blueberry crumble in a trivet that has lift out handles.
- Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the vent to SEAL and cook settings to Manual for 2 minutes. It will take about 10 minutes to reach pressure, then the 2 minutes will count down for the cook time.
PRO TIP: Before placing the Instant Pot lid on, lay a piece of parchment paper over the crumble. This will prevent any water condensation from dripping on the crumble topping.
Release Vent, Lift Out, and Serve
- Once the cook timer beeps, do a manual release of the steam, taking care to stay out of the steam path.
PRO TIP: For a crispier oat crumble topping, place the apple blueberry crumble under broiler on medium for about 3 to 4 minutes, or use the air fryer lid to brown the crumble topping if your Instant Pot has one.
