  • Granny Smith apples - Washed, peeled, cored, and diced.
  • Honeycrisp apples - Washed, peeled, cored, and diced.
  • Cinnamon sticks - Whole, this will prevent discoloring your applesauce.
  • Turbinado sugar (pure cane sugar) - You can also use white sugar or honey.
  • Water - For processing.

Prepare The Apples

  1. Wash, peel, core, and chop the apples into 1" chunks.

  1. Seal the Iid on the Instant Pot, and set the vent to seal.

  2. Program the pressure to cook on HIGH for 8 minutes.

  3. When program beeps that it's complete, do a quick release, taking care to not get your hand in the path of the steam.

Puree For Smooth Applesauce

  1. Using an immersion blender, blend the applesauce mixture until you get the consistency you prefer.

  2. For chunky applesauce, use a potato masher instead of the immersion blender.

  3. Transfer the applesauce to mason jars or plastic containers. Freeze for up to 3 months.
