Ingredients
Not only is this cranberry mimosa deliciously refreshing, but it’s also surprisingly easy to make.
With just 2 ingredients and minimal effort, you can create this festive drink in no time at all - now that's something worth celebrating!
- Prosecco - (or Brut champagne, Moscato, or for a Virgin Cranberry Mimosa, use Sparkling Apple Juice).
- Cranberry Juice - If you get the pure juice (not the sugar based drink), you will have the best cranberry mimosa ever.
- Garnish of choice - consider rosemary sprigs, fresh cranberries on tootpicks, slivers of orange, lime, or lemon zest.

How to Make a Cranberry Mimosa
This seems hardly a recipe, but more of a guidance. You will usually use a 50-50 ratio of cranberry juice and your choice of sparkling beverage.
To keep these child friendly, try using 7-UP, cranberry flavored sparkling water, or the Sparkling Apple Cider.
For the rest of us, you can choose from a dry Brut Champagne, a less bitter Prosecco, or a sweet Moscato. I usually opt for the Prosecco as it is middle of the road.
Measure the Prosecco
- Start by placing both the cranberry juice and the Prosecco (or Champagne, Moscato, or Sparkling Grape or Apple juice) in the refrigerator to get very cold.
- Prep the rims of the flutes or cocktail glasses with sugar, if you plan to.
- Measure the Prosecco, or the sparkling beverage you are using into a champagne flute. Fill half way.
Measure the Cranberry Juice
- Top off the champagne flute with cranberry juice. Stop ¼" from the rim.
Garnish
- Add some festive garnish to fit the occasion. For a Christmas Mimosa, add a small sprig of rosemary and a few fresh cranberries.

Equipment
Equipment can have a big impact on how a recipe turns out. Since the only equipment you need is goblets, flutes or glasses, you probably already have them on hand.
Storage
Store unmixed cranberry juice and Prosecco capped in your refrigerator. The cranberry juice will last a week or so. The Prosecco should be drank with 24 hours or it will just go flat.
Tips for Success
- For a large gathering, consider adding the cranberry juice in the flutes ahead of time. Then, at the very last, add the sparkling Prosecco, Champagne, or Moscato. This way your Cranberry Mimosa cocktails will be half way made ahead of time.
