Cranberry relish is a Thanksgiving classic, and this Ocean Spray Cranberry Orange Relish is especially delicious. It's made with cranberries, oranges, sugar, and orange juice, and it's perfect for serving alongside our Dutch Oven Turkey Breast, Air Fried Turkey Breast, or Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham. Plus, it's really easy to make!

You will find yourself spreading it on sandwiches, topping a Baked Brie with it it, and using it with ordinary Rotisserie Chicken!
It takes less than 30 minutes to make this classic, and it is so much more flavorful than store bought.

Ingredients
When you see the fresh cranberries in stock at your grocery store, grab a few bags. They freeze fabulously! After the Holiday's, they are often on discount. That's the time to stock up on a few so you have fresh cranberry sauce year round!

- Ocean Spray fresh cranberries
- Orange - ½ orange, chopped up small, rind and all.
- Orange Juice - fresh or frozen
- Sugar

How to Make Ocean Spray Cranberry Relish
You can use orange juice instead of squeezing the oranges if you prefer.
Step 1. Juice the Oranges

Roll the oranges on the counter to loose the juice. Cut all three oranges in half. Juice 2 ½ of them.

Measure the juice, if it is not quite 1 cup, adding enough water to make it so. Dice the remaining ½ orange.

Step 2. Add Everything to a Pot

Put the cranberries and diced oranges into the saucepan.

Measure the sugar and orange juice to the fruit.

Step 3. Cook the Cranberry Relish

Bring to a boil on medium heat. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

Pour into a serving bowl and set to chill until ready to serve. Or, ladle into canning jars and store or Hot Water Bath process to store in the pantry.

Variations
Ocean Spray Cranberry relish is great with or without the orange. Other variations are:
- Spice Cranberry Relish - Add some cinnamon and clove powder to your saucepan before coming to a boil.

You will want a heavy bottomed (thick bottomed) stainless steel saucepan. The thick pan bottom will help distribute the heat evenly and prevent burning.

Storage
You can store the left over cranberry relish in Ball canning jars, either in the refrigerator or in the freezer.

- Keep the saucepan heat on medium and stir constantly when it is boiling so it doesn't stick or scorch.

Yes, just omit the orange and make the relish with no other changes.
If you hot water bath can them, they will keep in the pantry for up to 18 months. If you do not use the water bath canning and store in the refrigerator, than 2 weeks. You can freeze it easily up to 6 months.

Cranberry Orange Relish
Equipment
Ingredients
- 3 cups whole cranberries 1 bag of Ocean Spray fresh cranberries
- 3 large oranges 2 ½ for juice, ½ cut into small chunks, rind and all
- 1 cup sugar
Instructions
- Cut all three oranges in half. Juice 2½ of the oranges for their juice. You need 1 cup, if you are short, add water to make 1 cup.3 large oranges
- Chop the remaining ½ orange up, rind and all in small dice or thin slices.
- Add whole cranberries and diced up orange pieces to a saucepan. Add the sugar and the orange juice. Cook on medium heat until it starts to boil, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.3 cups whole cranberries, 1 cup sugar
- Pour the sauce into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, set aside to cool. Alternatively, you can also pour it hot into sterilized Ball Canning jars. Seal and set to cool.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve. Makes 3 cups.
