- Place each sugar coated cookie dough ball on a prepared rimmed cookie sheet, about 2" apart, 6 per cookie sheet. Save the left over cinnamon sugar for later.
- Bake in the prepared over for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack. Let cool completely before frosting.
Prepare the Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract. Add the milk and blend until smooth and creamy. If too stiff, add another tablespoon of milk.½ cup butter, 1½ cup powdered sugar, ¼ cup brown sugar, 1¼ teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoon milk
- Scoop frosting into a piping bag fitted with a large star piping tip. Start in the middle of each cookie and squeeze a swirl outward to the edge of each cookie. Sprinkle with the remainder of the cinnamon sugar.
