- Divide the hot tea into two large mugs. Top off with the hot pumpkin spiced milk mixture.
- Add some whip cream from either your own homemade or an aerosol can of Ready Whip. Sprinkle cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice blend on top!

Kelly's Recipe Notes
This pumpkin chai latte is good hot or cold! Let the latte mixture cool, or refrigerate it. Drizzle the inside of the glass with some caramel syrup, as little or much as you like.
Then, add ice cubes to a tall glass (I use an insulated one so the ice doesn't melt so quickly, and dilute my iced latte.
Pour the cold latte mixture over the ice. Pipe some Redi Whip on top, and drizzle with a little more caramel sauce.
You just made Starbucks obsolete! Seriously, hot or cold, this pumpkin chai latte is amazing, especially if you're Jonesing for a pumpkin spice 'fix'.

Substitutions
- If you want to make this a vegan pumpkin spiced latte recipe, just substitute the dairy milk for plant based milk. If you prefer using a concentrated chai, I recommend Tazo's.
- Ready Whip sells a plant based, Almond milk based aerosol whip 'cream'! And, it makes an AMAZING non dairy whipped topping for a perfect hot, pumpkin-y chai that puts Starbucks to shame!
- You can use coconut milk, or any other plant based milk when making this chai recipe.
Variations
I have a few variations for this pumpkin chai recipe.
- Pumpkin Dirty Chai - Use only half as much tea, and add a shot of espresso to the mug with the tea.

Tips for Success
- A great shortcut is to make your concentrated tea ahead of time and keep it in the refrigerator in a Mason jar for chai anytime.
- I have a FABULOUS tip! I like my pumpkin spiced chai latte smooth, so I use Gerber's 4 oz container of finely pureed pumpkin! I know, I know, it's actually baby food! But, it is silky smooth and blends in better into the chai and milk mixture!
Besides, I don't like opening a 15 oz can of pumpkin puree and only using a few ounces off - because then I have to make pumpkin scones, cookies, and bread with the leftovers. And that's the last thing my waistline needs me to make!
Frequently Asked Questions
Chai is made from tea. Instead of coffee, chai tea or a chai concentrate like Tazo's concentrate is used with milks and cream, with a sprinkled spice topping on the foam.
Not at all. While chai made with tea does have caffeine, the levels won't be nearly as high as your regular coffee, especially if it's espresso coffee!
Yes, just chill the pumpkin cream mixture, then pour over ice, and top with your favorite latte toppings.
