Air Fryer a French Bread Pizza Ingredients
You can use any kind of French bread: fresh, frozen, and even garlic bread. You can even use smaller French bread rolls instead of the long French bread. Cut the bread in lengths that fit your air fryer though.
I've included several styles of air fryers in the equipment section also: basket and toaster oven style air fryers. Any of them will work, as long as you adjust the length of your French bread.
- French bread loaf - Frozen, fresh, or even garlic.
- Pizza sauce - Homemade or store bought. You can use Alfredo, Pesto Sauce, or regular Marinara.
- Mozzarella cheese - Shredded.
- Pepperoni slices - Or any topping you prefer, such as cooked Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, cooked mushrooms, etc.
- Basil or Parsley - Fresh, chopped. You can also use our recipes for homemade Italian Seasoning, or Pizza Seasoning.
- Red pepper flakes - Optional.
- Parmesan cheese - Optional.

How to Make French Bread Pizza In Air Fryer
Use your favorite ready to heat French bread. It can be from the freezer case, the bakery section of the grocery store, or fresh baked French bread.
Prepare The Loaf of Garlic or French Bread
- Place your loaf of garlic bread or French bread on your work surface and either open it up or slice it lengthwise (if it has not been already sliced).
- Spread some of the pizza sauce over the length of each half of the French bread.
Add Your Favorite Pizza Toppings
- Sprinkle some of the Mozzarella cheese over the sauce covered French bread halves.
- Top with slices of pepperoni, cooked crumbled Italian sausage, or any toppings you love on your pizza.
- Add some additional Mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza toppings.
Place French Bread Pizza in Air Fryer
- Place your French bread pizza in the air fryer:
- If using a basket air fryer, cut the French bread pizza into chunks that fit comfortably in your air fryer basket.
- If using the Ninja Foodie Air Fryer, slide the cooking tray in the air fryer (it's set up like a toaster oven).
- If using a basket air fryer, cut the French bread pizza into chunks that fit comfortably in your air fryer basket.
- Air Fry at 375 F for 5 to 7 minutes, checking to ensure the French Bread doesn't get too browned, but that the cheese is bubbly.
PRO TIP: You can also bake in a preheated conventional oven at 350 F for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melty and the bread lightly toasted.
Slice Garlic Bread Pizza and Serve
- Let your French bread pizza cool slightly before slicing into it. This will help to prevent the cheese from sliding off. Top with parsley or fresh slivered basil, red pepper flakes, and grated Parmesan, and enjoy.
